2005 News

Institute of CWM 2005 "Wine Personality of the Year Award"

At the AGM black tie dinner in 2007, the Institute was able to make the presentation of the Wine Personality of the Year award to Su Birch.

It has taken two years of continuous effort to find time in the busy life of Su Birch of Wines of South Africa (WOSA) to make the award for Wine Personality of the Year 2005 in recognition of the efforts to increase the exposure and sales of South African wine in export markets. Her efforts to popularise South African generic wines extend back to her time in Stellenbosch Farmers Winery and have continued to the present.
